PRISM Analytical Laboratories

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

PRISM Analytical Laboratories ("PRISM", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website prismlabs.ca and our testing and verification services.

1. Information We Collect

Contact details you provide when requesting a test or contacting us — such as your name, email address, and any message content.

Order and sample information needed to process testing — including sample identifiers, compound names, and the results we generate.

Verification lookup data — when a Report ID is entered on our verification page, we use it only to retrieve and display the matching certificate.

Technical data collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and site improvement.

2. How We Use Your Information

To deliver the testing and verification services you request and to issue Certificates of Analysis.

To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.

To maintain the accuracy, security, and integrity of our verification records.

To comply with legal obligations and to detect or prevent fraud or misuse of our services.

3. Verification Is Anonymized

Our public verification portal (prismlabs.ca/verify) surfaces analytical results tied to a Report ID only. It does not expose customer names, addresses, order history, or any personally identifying account information to the public.

Anyone who holds a valid Report ID may confirm that a certificate is authentic and on file — nothing more.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate (such as payment and email delivery providers, under appropriate confidentiality obligations), or where required by law.

Aggregate, de-identified analytical data may be used for research or statistical purposes in a form that does not identify any individual or client.

5. Data Retention

We retain testing records and verification data for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet our professional and legal record-keeping obligations.

Contact and enquiry data is retained only as long as needed to respond to your request and for reasonable follow-up.

6. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

7. Your Choices

You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and professional record-keeping requirements.

You can decline to provide certain information, though this may limit our ability to provide some services.

8. Canadian Privacy Law

We operate in Canada and comply with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and any applicable provincial privacy laws.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
